Born August 10th in a township called Duduza, East of Johannesburg; the born again  Tumelo Matlala  is no stranger in the gospel industry. He started school at Durban Melmort at Vukuzenzele Primary School. His mother passed on in 2007 which led to him being moved from Durban to Balfour. He stayed there 2007 until 2009. In 2009, Dollar moved from Balfour to Springs (Tsakane Ext. 15) due to family problems. He then started his music career.
