BOKARWELA BAKOROCKO (slick dat pimp) : BIOGRAPHY



Bongani Rwela aka (BOKARWELA_BAKOROCKO) or SLICK DAT PIMP or popularly know as BOKA, Know for his Artistic Nature and flamboyance blue-ish character is a RAPPER, SONG-WRITER, DANCER, SINGER, CLOTHING DESIGNER, ANIMATOR & GRAPHICS/LOGO DESIGNER  originally from Duduza, Nigel grew up in a drastic environment where there was no inspiration or motivation to pursue dreams into reality.

He began his music journey back in high school after hurricane Katrina hit USA there were a few rap fanatics who used to freestyle about things happening in society and around them and fell in-love with the idea of promoting awareness through the ART of HIP HOP/RAP in the idea that provoked him to write trough most of his songs, but he was not prominent through rap but perceived himself as a poet. The year was 2009 when he was approached by TS RECORDS for a record deal possible chanced at that time but they wanted AFRO POP singers and not RNB of which he was writing songs before any record, but he declined fearing that the opportunity was not for his interest at that point in time. He continued perusing music as the industry demanded more versatile personalities so he fused his style with RNB/SOUL/HIP HOP to produce a unique sound to complement all of his musical talents. In 2011 began a mixtape the was not finished due to loss of data on the studio computer produced by GRAY THOUGHTS/ SIBUSISO but only few of the songs that were that were left  included in the 2013 MIX-TAPE (BUNNY) and (MESS UP YOUR MIND)

He came across MARVIN and DAVID who called him to join and formed a crew called TRINITY X underground names included (MORTAL SARGON, X KID THE BLOG and RPX THE RAGING PHOENIX) and compiled the underground debut (RPX THE RAGING PHOENIX MIX-TAPE 2012) . He later worked with UNCLE TOUCH aka VUSI from KZN who made alot of beats including the HAPPY SONG BEAT on the 2013 MUSIC FOR THE STREET MIX-TAPE (STREET MIX-TAPE) which featured artists like MILITARY BASEMENT which later became TEAM MOLLO he also collaborated with EMSTAR SHINING, HLANHLA on the I WISH REMIX by TONI BRAXTONE .

He went into studio for production in 2014 and got the name BAKOROCKO from JACKO WHACKO (MICHAEL JACKSON)and is hoping to release his next album compilation on December 2015, the album under went constant marketing from 2014 till 2015 called (THE RESPECT ME CAUSE I TELL IT, BLUE DELUXE EDITION, 2015). The marketing strategy includes blue logos which reflected the theme of the compilation album and COLD BLUE with feature T-SHIRTS & CAPS sold at R150 each item.

The success was good through distribution and implementation that attracted the energy and potential sponsorship and funding  by  CONCERTS SA on March 2016. He is planning an album tour with SA CONCERTS next March 2016 and potential sponsorship with some beverage brands also awaiting 2016, latest would be December 2015 on the launch of his album.. He is also on the editorial sector of the KTD DUBB MAGAZINE and owns the entity (Company) 4BG COMICS NETWORK that markets some of the magazine feature and partnership with other stake holders in the project. He also was involved in a lot of design projects to publish comics and animation. The RAP CITY EPISODE on YouTube and most of the videos
