MR BLACK TUXX Biographical Profiling
ABOUT MR BLACK TUXX
Bulali Nyamakazi also known as “Mr. Black Tuxx” is a young musician
that was born and breed in the Eastern Cape in a small town of Engcobo. Born in
the year of 1995 in a hospital outside of Mthatha. Later in his early life he
relocated to Johannesburg and began schooling in the East Rand in a town called
Brakpan and furthered his schooling in Pretoria and completed his studies
there.
His passion for music began in his high school years where he attended
the local battle events where he came out as runner up for the state theatre
battle grounds. He furthered his music career when he joined a music group
called Hojwalo Music and there he formed his first official relationship with
music. After working Hojwalo Music he decided to get
familiarized with the business side by legitimizing
the group into an official registered company and by doing so became the
director.
He went onto register an events company to establish a way of allowing
his brand to grow further and allow his fellow artists to get a platform to
spread their music. After aligning himself business wise he focused on his
music career solely. Recording his first Extended Play (EP) project titled “Colors of Me”
While in the Eastern Cape his foundation of music was solidified when
he joined the Church Choir at St Cathbeths in the region of Tsolo, which went
on to take first place at the choir competition which was held at Mthatha. In
high school he joined the debate team which somewhat influenced him positively
to speak out about social issues in his music and try and pass on a positive
message through his music, to try and motivate his peers and listeners. Drama
is also a part of how Mr Black Tuxx was formed, as he has also had a role in a
play back in primary school. Art has also been a key factor in the life of Mr
Black Tuxx.
Mr
Black Tuxx’s Career highlights
“The
come up” was one of the biggest
events that Mr Black Tuxx has organized, and has performed at. This event was
hosted by his music crew which is Hojwalo Music, which saw people showing up in
their hundreds. This event was part of the “give back to the community” program
that Mr Black Tuxx works on every year in his community, in Tsakane. Following
that event was the Spring Culture festival which was hosted in Duduza in the
East Rand.
There
he went on to share the stage with artists like “Pitch Black Afro”, there his
performance came right before Pitch Black Afro went on stage. The same event
hosted some of the various artists across the country such as “Molly Superman
Omnyama”, and Dj Fingerz from the “EkFm” radio, who now is currently working at
the Wits Radio Station “Vow Fm”.
The following event he performed at was his
biggest event to date, where the Spokesperson of the Ekhuruleni booked artists
from Tsakane to perform at a private family function in Tsakane Field in the
year of 2017.
