Shimi-Boi : BIOGRAPHIC PROFILING

Moshoeshoe Shaun Malinga very well known as "Shimi-Boi" is one of the up-coming rappers that hail from the East-Rand, "Tsakane". He is a very talented musician both on production and in the booth. He took Kasie Rap to another level; his flow is on point and his lines nothing shorter than exceptional. Shimi-Boi’s music journey commenced at a tender age of his high school years. He started off as a House music Dj and made the gentle transition to Hip Hop when he heard his favourite international rapper "Eminem" for the first time.

In 2011 he decided to pursue his music career and gave birth to a music company with his two other partners called "Struu Productions" were he was not just a partner but a producer and an artist as well. In 2013 he parted ways with the company to establish himself as a brand.

In 2014 Shimi-Boi released his debut mixtape titled "Sleepless Nights" which he had been patiently working on for 2years. The mixtape took the streets by storm with hit singles like "Ngeke Ning' Confirme" and a master piece titled "Good Time" which earned a spot on Yfm's music playlist and other radio stations across the country. He has received accolades from Industry geniuses like Sizwe Dhlomo and Siyabonga Ngwekazi famously known for hosting a Hip Hop show "Siz ‘n Scoop" on Yfm. Since then, he has been interviewed by DJSpeedsta and Zai Maya who also host a Hip-Hop show on Yfm called "The HIp-Hop Floor". He has also featured on uKhozi FM, profiled in newspapers, magazines and his work still receives acknowledgments from his pool of fans to blogs.

His artistry isn’t defined by a specific sound because he draws his creativity from a variety of musical disciplines such as African Pop, House Music, American Hip Hop and Kasie Rap but most importantly his inspiration comes from his life and surroundings. He is recognized as one of the best in the East-Rand and for his hard work he has been rewarded by sharing stages with rappers like AKA, Kwesta and K.O to name a few.  Shimi-Boi” Malinga is working on his second offering titled ‘Pain To Profit’. This self-taught producer and artist assures his supporters that he will produce a project that’ll surpass his debut offering in terms of Production and Content.
